The West of England Baptist Association is the local regional association overseeing Baptist Churches in Bristol, Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
BUGB
The Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB) is the Baptist family in England and Wales (there is also the Baptist Union of Wales). It is made up of churches, regional associations, the national resource centre and Baptist colleges. The Union works with others in mission locally, regionally and internationally.
It is a diverse union with small and large congregations, different nationalities and differing styles of worship yet united by core values and a common purpose of changing lives and transforming communities with the message and love of Jesus Christ.
BMS
BMS World Mission is in the business of changing lives. We work in 34 countries of the world, on four continents. Every day our personnel and partners meet people who are being transformed by God through the work of BMS.
EA
The Evangelical Alliance was founded in 1846 and is the oldest alliance of evangelical Christians in the world. The Alliance is the largest body serving evangelical Christians in the UK, and has a membership including denominations, churches, organisations and individuals. In its formative years the Alliance particularly stood for the victims of religious persecution and enabled evangelicals from different denominations to work together.
SRUF
Sydenham Road under Fives is a local independent community playgroup and parent & toddler group meeting in the Jarman Hall and Saltcellar at tbc every weekday in term-time.
COPP
The Community of Perrett's Park group is made up of local residents that have come together to support Perrett's Park. The objects of The Community of Perrett's Park (COPP) are: To promote the following in Bristol and the surrounding area. To co-operate with Bristol City Council in caring for Perrett’s Park. To liaise with the council regarding maintenance and improvements to the park. To encourage local people to be actively involved in caring for and developing the park and its facilities. To encourage responsible use of the park. To raise the profile of the park in the community and organise community events.
Alpha Course
The Alpha Course is a ten-week course for anyone wanting to explore the meaning of life and what the Christian faith has to say about it. Each week there's a meal followed by a presentation about a question such as "Who is Jesus?" followed by discussion in small groups. The next course at tbc starts on January 25th 2012. Girls’ Brigade
A link to the national Girls' Brigade website. We have our own company, the 37th Bristol meeting at tbc, on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm.
Food Addicts Anonymous
Food Addicts Anonymous is an organization that believes that Food Addiction is a biochemical disorder that occurs at a cellular level and therefore cannot be cured by willpower or by therapy alone. We feel that food addiction is not a moral or character issue. This Twelve Step program believes that food addiction can be managed by abstaining from (eliminating) addictive foods, following a program of sound nutrition (a food plan), and working the Twelve Steps of the program. We meet regularly at tbc at 6.45 on a Monday evening; please ring the bell on the side door on Sydenham Road, or for more information ring Barbara 07886 545228.
Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous meets at tbc every Monday evening from 7.00 to 8.00pm.
Performanze Dance & Drama
Perfomanze use tbc Premises every Saturday in term time for Dance lessons, including ballet, tap and modern dance. They also hold Drama Workshops on a Wednesday evening. Contact Rosie Easton on 07745 099472
Saltcellar Folk Club
The Saltcellar Folk Club meets at 7.30pm on the first Saturday of most months and is open to floor singers of every kind of folk, roots and acoustic music. Each month we have an invited guest artist.
